As part of Aethereal Jest Arts Council's 2025/2026 Season, we will be hosting our first annual Staged Reading Festival and we need you to make this event a success.

 

We are currently accepting submissions for original plays that are at the point of development where they can benefit from a staged reading. Submissions can cover any topic, genre, or length.

During the festival, selected works will be performed by local actors under the direction of experienced directors. Following each piece, playwrights will receive feedback from a panel of local playwrights as well as the general public.

​

The goal of this festival is two-fold; 1) to provide playwrights with valuable feedback to assist them with the development of their work and 2) to expose the general public to the variety of original works in our community and the voices behind them.
